Amazing girls! Wonderful big strides!I just curious how fast they will be running by Dec SEA Games! They look like they are capable of barging into the top 3 finish in 100 or 200m if the progess continues. I hope they will do a local commercial soon maybe with MILO or Ovaltine so more filipinos will be able to identify with them. I think too they should compete in the open division in PNG 2013. Anyone who wants to make it to the philippine team to SEA Games 2013 should compete in the open division, just my opinion. The same with Jennyrose Rosales, she should skip the junior division this year and compete in the open division. That should put more pressure too to Kat Santos. So we expect a highly competitive 100m dash in years and maybe 3 sub 12secs! Let’s see. I see too that 400m will be highly competitive with top 4 women aiming to make it to the 4x400m relay team. Wow! This is going to to be an interesting year for philippine women’s track and field!
No none of the above juniors in my team will be competing in the open division that will definitely not happen at all NO WAY.
There is a history/mentality already in the Philippines of coaches and administrators pushing athletes to run in the senior division and alot of the time we see these athletes burn out and never heard of again.
Kyla is 15 years old she will be more focussed on a junior title and then perhaps the ASEAN School Games. No need to rush her into competition against seniors yet she needs to enjoy the journey. Think of athletics as hopping up stairs in a stadium. If you try and skip too many then you hit run and fall bad.
What is the point of picking the fruit before its ripe? we might have faster Fil-Heritage seniors anyway. We need to develop the junior division.
Richardsons and Rosales competing in juniors provide good comp for each other and the winning time might be faster than the best local in seniors anyway. Kyla will prob still run 11.85-11.95 running against Kayla and Jennyrose she does not need to race against Kat yet.

Why should they compete as seniors? if they run a quicker times against a quick junior girls sprint field are you assuming these performances are going to be disregarded?
I’m not concerned about putting pressure on Kat Santos, i’m concerned about the welfare and development of the junior division. Most successful athletic nations have well stocked junior and youth divisions. Thailand had a hundred entries in the girls 100m.
