Philippine Mens 100m Final Ranking List 2012

Daniel Noval wins Bronze for the Philippines in Junior Mens 100m in Thailand, he set a Phi JR Record in the heats and semi finals.

Daniel Noval improved the Filipino Junior Record in the heats of the Thai Open Boys 100m to 10.79, he then broke this again in the semis in 10.74, before collecting Bronze in the final in 10.80 also under the old record.  24 Athletes were featured on the list.

Noval rise through the ranks of Filipino sprinting began with a victory at the Milo Little Olympics, followed by two wins at the Palarong Pambansa for central visayas and then two NCAA Titles for CSB.

19 year old Noval’s time in the 100m was the fastest of 2012.

However it was veteran Henry Dagmil who won the national title in Dumaguete in 10.88s the 31-year old veteran long jumper who holds the countries long jump record. Jesson Ramil Cid tied 10.88 during the decathlon in Thailand.  And also joining the Sub 11 club for the first time was Jose Unso with 10.97 in heats of the UAAP.

Perhaps the find of the season though is 17 year old Fil-Canadian Jonelle Halog who has improved this year to 10.91et.

Of the 25 men featured on this list only eight  of them where Under 20 years of age. The standard was 10.9ht/11.15et for these lists but now will be lowered to 11.07et/10.8ht  for 2013.
